Virtual support

We have partnered with the Solihull Approach to provide 24/7 access to virtual support, advice and guidance online courses covering everything from pregnancy, birth and beyond.

Getting to know your baby in the womb can be an important part of bonding with your child. We offer various courses that include the traditional information you might expect from an antenatal course with information on preparing to give birth, welcoming and comforting your new baby alongside thinking about your emotional health and helping you to reflect on ways to connect with your baby.

Healthy Start vitamin clinics

If you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, you may not get enough vitamin C, vitamin D or folic acid.

The NHS healthy start scheme and our Family Hubs in Hartlepool are offering free vitamins to pregnant women and young children. You can get these important vitamins for free by using your NHS Healthy Start card.

You can get these from our Health Visitor Drop Ins from our Rossmere, Miers or Middleton Grange Family Hubs as well as from multiple pharmacies around the town.

Find out more about the Healthy Start Scheme and if you’re eligible on the NHS Healthy Start website.

Our Start for Life offer

A new Start for Life government campaign aims to support parents in nurturing their bond with their baby

New research highlights many parents are unaware of the link between their baby’s good mental health and early childhood development.

The campaign aims to highlight that babies’ expressions, reactions, noises and cries are the way they communicate their needs and feelings to parents which in some cases can be an indication of their mental wellbeing.

We want to help parents and carers learn how to interpret these cues so they can find the best way to meet their baby’s needs.

See our 0-2 start for life offer to find out more information on looking after your baby, perinatal mental health support, physical health support from pregnancy to birth and beyond and much more!
